Oil on Canvas

Oils have become my medium of choice. My work tends to take shape across large canvases where I aim to reflect the breadth and magnificence of the African landscape.

Sketches

My passion for elephants inspired my first sketches, and you can still see these great creatures taking shape in my sketches today.

Before my work takes form in oils, I begin with sketches. You can browse through a collection of my drawings here.

Photography

That first glimpse, the joys of capturing nature's majesty as I see it: I love photography. I use my camera to keep a record of my experiences in the bush and sometimes I manage to capture a glimpse of the wonders of that moment.

Meet Will

The man behind the art

Will was raised in Zimbabwe, and was captivated by nature from a young age. Throughout his life he has spent countless hours bearing witness to the natural world and soaking in its glory. Him and his wife, Erin, have raised three daughters who share the same love for the African wildlife. He is a passionate conservationist and uses his art to create an appreciation for the protection of nature.

Will welcomes you to step into his work, and bask in the beauty of Africa.

"Growing up, listening to myths and legends of the Bush
veld and of Africa as a whole, in some regards m
y destiny
with the wild was already set. Africa is a tough and
beautiful place, and for those who truly see her you will
never get her out of your soul."

Will.
